The Area Agency on Aging is one of twenty-eight (28) Area Agencies on Aging in the State of Texas under the Older Americans Act of 1965, as amended. It is the representative agency of the Texas Health and Human Services Commission for the Lower Rio Grande Valley and functions as the coordinating and planning agency for services to persons who are 60 years of age and older and their family. The objective of the Counsel of Government's Area Agency on Aging is to provide an opportunity for a high quality of life of older persons through the development and expansion of a comprehensive and coordinated social service delivery system at the regional level.

The Area Agency on Aging of Deep East Texas is a visible advocate and leader in a 12 county area in providing for a comprehensive and coordinated continuum of services and opportunities so that older adults can lead dignified, independent, and productive lives. The Area Agency on Aging of Deep East Texas is part of a network of 670 Area Agencies on Aging nationwide and one of 28 in the State of Texas dedicated to addressing the needs of older adults and their caregivers. The Area Agency on Aging invests federal Older Americans Act funds to areas of documented need and develops financial agreements with local agencies to provide services to people ages 60 and older on a contribution basis.

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Beaumont, Inc. is the only non-profit in Southeast Texas recognized by the BIA and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS), formerly known as Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS), to provide legal immigration services to clients. The Immigration Services Director is accredited to represent clients in immigration matters before the USCIS.

Brighter Tomorrows was founded in 1989 as a cooperative effort between the Grand Prairie City Council, Grand Prairie Police Department, Grand Prairie Human Services Coalition, and a group of concerned citizens. Catholic Charities Dallas’ Immigration and Legal Services (ILS) program is offering free to low-cost citizenship services to applicants who qualify for citizenship. With the recent changes to the N-400 form, we understand that it can be confusing and time-consuming, so we are here to answer questions and guide you on your citizenship path. If you are a legal permanent resident eligible to apply for citizenship, there is no better time than now to resolve to become a citizen!

The mission of the DAAA is to serve as the focal point and advocate on behalf of persons 60 years of age and older who reside in Dallas County by planning, developing and coordinating services that ensure a system that positively impacts their health, honor and dignity.

LAW provides legal services to low-income families who could not otherwise afford legal representation to handle family crises. Resolving legal issues increases the level of safety, security and stability for our clients and their families as they work toward lifting themselves out of poverty. Fees are based on a sliding scale for those who do not make enough to pay for traditional legal services.
