Brooklyn Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic provides free legal representation, advice and referral to low-income taxpayers who have disputes with the Internal Revenue Service and the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance. We can assist you at all stages of your tax case: audits, court proceedings, appeals, and collections. BLITC handles all kinds of tax issues, including: earned income credit verfication, nonfilers, employee classification, innocent spouse claims, dependency exemption, and filing status issues.
