Recently, Penn State Dickinson established an asylum clinic to help refugees seeking a safe haven in the United States. Supervised by Won Kindane, an Ethiopia native, students in the Asylum Clinic represent refugees who are fleeing their home countries because of persecution or the fear of persecution because of their race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group or political opinion.

The Art, Sports and Entertainment Law Clinic at The Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University provides free services to individuals in art, sports, and entertainment fields. Services include providing educational information and, when appropriate, legal representation.

The Centre County Women's Resource Center (CCWRC) provides services for people who have experienced Domestic and or Sexual Violence. Counselor/Advocates are available 24 hours a day. There is no cost involved and all services are private.

North Penn Legal Services provides free legal aid services on civil cases to low-income families, individuals, and groups in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Services include individual representation (ranging from document preparation to litigation), information, referral and advice through a telephone helpline, community legal education, and support for those clients who will be taking responsibility for handling some or all aspects of their own problem.
