Abby's House is a multi-service, non-profit organization in Worcester, Massachusetts that serves homeless and battered women and children. Founded in 1976 by a group of activists led by Annette Rafferty, Abby’s House has helped thousands of women and children make their way out of the chaos of homelessness.

LACCM is the state-funded civil legal aid program for Central Massachusetts. LACCM provides free civil legal assistance to low-income and elderly residents of Worcester County. With over twenty advocates, LACCM specializes in elder law, government benefits, eviction defense, housing and employment discrimination, and family law matters affecting domestic violence victims.

MWLS will assist client eligible persons in securing access to basic needs and in challenging institutional barriers in order to achieve equal justice for all.

The Listening Ear Crisis Intervention Center has been open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year since July 15, 1969. We provide free and confidential service for telephone and walk-in clients in crisis. We define crisis as "any situation in which your normal coping mechanisms are ineffective or unavailable." Our volunteers are trained to deal with crises that include depression, suicide, loneliness, sexual assault, grief, and many others. We also provide referrals for services throughout the Lansing area.

The Rental Housing Clinic of MSU College of Law is a legal aid clinic that is a cooperative effort of the Michigan State University College of Law and the City of East Lansing. The Clinic provides services to tenants and landlords who have some type of rental property issue. The Clinic offers traditional legal counsel as well as educational programs for tenants and landlords. More information on our educational materials is available in our office.

The MSU College of Law Tax Clinic provides nominal cost legal services to low-income taxpayers in the Greater Lansing area and those for whom English is a second language. The Tax Clinic handles all aspects of controversies with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) including interviewing and counseling clients, preparing cases for appeals conferences, and appearing at the conferences. The Tax Clinic is committed to serving the needs of individuals, as well as increasing public awareness and understanding of tax laws through user-friendly literature and community education sessions.

The Chance at Childhood Program mission is to "promote and protect the well-being of children and families through integrated education and advocacy." The program, an initiative between Michigan State University Graduate School of Social Work and Michigan State University School of Law, is designed to protect and serve the rights of children. Lawyers and social workers collaborate to strengthen the knowledge base, practice and advocacy skills to meet the needs of children, youth, families and communities.
