The New Jersey Tenants Organization (NJTO) is the oldest, largest statewide tenant membership organization in the United States. NJTO has been successful in lobbying at the state level for tenants rights and affordable housing. NJTO has a history of endorsing political candidates who are pro-tenant. While NJTO works at the state level, it also assists in organizing affiliated building, city, and county tenant organizations throughout the state of New Jersey. NJTO provides tenants with a basic education about their rights and gives guidance to tenants who are dues paying members.

The New Jersey Crime Victims' Law Center (VLC) provides pro bono legal assistance to victims of violent crime in the criminal justice system throughout the State of New Jersey. The VLC was established in 1992 by Richard and Ann Pompelio after their 17 year-old son Tony was murdered, and the Pompelio family experienced first hand the harsh treatment victims of violent crime often encountered in the criminal justice system.

Domestic Abuse & Sexual Assault Intervention Services (DASI) is a private nonprofit agency in Sussex County, New Jersey, providing services for over twenty years to victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and their families. Our mission is to change attitudes about violence and abuse held by individuals, institutions and the community at large. This will be accomplished through the provision of comprehensive direct services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and their families, community education and prevention programs, advocacy, and batterer intervention services.

Strengthen Our Sisters is a grassroots, community based, nonprofit, 155 bed shelter program serving homeless/battered women and children. The mission of Strengthen Our Sisters is dedicated to breaking the cycle of domestic violence, poverty, and abuse by restoring balance and harmony through individual empowerment

The Coalition Against Rape and Abuse Law Project provides FREE legal counseling and FREE legal representation to survivors of Domestic Violence that are seeking a Temporary and/or Final Restraining Order. The Law Project was created in 1998 and was made possible through the IOLTA Fund and the State Department of Human Services. ALL Law Project services are open to male and female domestic violence survivors and are free regardless of available income.

New Jersey Association on Correction (NJAC) is a citizen’s organization that has been working for a more effective criminal justice system since 1961. The work of the Association is focused on Public Education and Policy as well as in providing direct services to offenders and victims of crime.

Disability Rights New Jersey is the consumer-directed, non-profit organization that serves as New Jersey's designated protection and advocacy system for people with disabilities in the state. In partnership with individuals with disabilities and their families, Disability Rights New Jersey works to protect and advance the rights of people with disabilities.
