It is the mission of Legal Services for the Elderly, Disabled or Disadvantaged of Western New York to improve the quality of life for low-income, elderly and disabled persons in Western New York through the provision of free civil legal services. Our primary goal is to use the legal system to assure that our clients may live independently and with dignity.

Western New York Land Conservancy is a private, nonprofit land trust dedicated to preserving our region's irreplaceable natural environments, farms, forestlands and open space in order to maintain wildlife habitat, economic resources, public recreation areas and the unique scenic character of Western New York.

The Legal Aid Bureau of Buffalo provides access to justice and due process to the most vulnerable individuals, children and families in the Western New York community.

It is the mission of the New York State Office for the Aging to help older New Yorkers to be as independent as possible through the advocacy, development and delivery of cost effective policies, programs and services which support and empower the elderly and their families, in partnership with the network of public and private organizations which serve them.

In 2003, a group of lawyers came together to form a nonprofit organization that would make a meaningful difference in the community by working with other nonprofits and microentrepreneurs to help them navigate the legal system. They called it Washington Attorneys Assisting Community Organizations (WAACO) – and today it is known as Wayfind. From the minute it launched, Wayfind began to explore how to meet the serious need for pro bono legal services in the nonprofit sector, and how to connect nonprofits in need with business lawyers providing pro bono legal services in a systematic and easy way. Today, Wayfind’s volunteer attorneys have helped hundreds of nonprofits and community organizations.
